Artist statement:
Leaving the house one morning, I notice the strong morning light hitting the water bottle I’ve just filled. This warm light slowly begins to melt the ice I’ve put into the water. I quickly reach for my camera gear to get a closer look at the physical change taking place. I notice the intricate details in the ice and the way the formations move in the water as air is released. Periodically, these bubbles perform an delicate dance across the frozen surfaces.
This is a phase change from ice to water and occurs at 0°C.
